Job Description:
The Sr. Solutions Architect will be solution-focused technical
professional responsible for the solutions design phase within
existing and prospective clients, and then overseeing the technical
delivery of these solutions. The Senior Solutions Architect is able
to review current scenario and recommend solutions for future
state. This person will be required to code/develop the solution.
The Senior Solutions Architect should have expert development
experience and be skilled in cloud technologies including the
delivery of SaaS applications.
Responsibilities
Recommend and implement solutions based on best practices,
architecture principles and rational sense
Design more robust / error proof solutions
Implement concise/simple interface for end user friendliness
Improve simple query processing to measure metrics and KPIs, vendor
and commodity level sourcing risk
Support the project portfolio process by defining the high level
solution for each opportunity in the portfolio, as well as work
with Business Solutions Analysts and technology resources in
defining the low-level solution
Validate accuracy of the implemented artifacts throughout the
project life cycle
Provide guidance during support phase to bug/enhancement
requirements
Documentation of different architecture artifacts pertaining to
various architected solutions
Assist with the delivery of value focused / results oriented
Professional Services proposals
Proactively identify new service opportunities / needs through
direct client interaction, and work closely with the cross
functional teams to assemble solutions to meet the client needs
Assist with growing a services bookings and revenue to enable new
business software revenue growth and expand existing customer
relationships, supporting the sales team.
Partner effectively with all other groups within the
organization
Basic Qualifications
This role is typically engaged as the highest-level technology
expert on a project team.
Partners with business analysts, pre-sales solutions, sales and the
engagement manager in requirements gathering and reviews.
Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and
technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that
outlines solutions to achieve business objectives.
Works with enterprise architecture, application and infrastructure
teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for the
project.
Develops enterprise level solutions that integrate across
applications, systems and platforms.
Proposes changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to
the architecture and design principles.
Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and
solutions to solve business problems.
Viewed as a technical expert and critical resource across multiple
disciplines.
Bachelors or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Typically has 5+ years of experience in multiple IT areas and 3+
years of relevant architecture and project management
experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience consulting and delivering
large-scale IT and SaaS Solutions.
Requires advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of
architecture, application design, systems engineering and
integration.
Experience developing consulting engagements and the delivery of
large scale SaaS solutions
Experience participating in client solutions development sessions
to recommend project scope, price and phasing
Excellent understanding of SaaS architecture and concepts
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with cross-functional technical teams. The ideal
candidate will possess both a technology, business, and
architecture background that enables them engage at the CXO level
as well as with enterprise customers and sales/field reps. He/she
should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically
about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability
to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Optimally, has a balanced combination of large corporate and small,
entrepreneurial company background.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple
projects with multiple deadlines
Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process
gaps
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Interface with customers, colleagues, management, and project
stakeholders, as needed, to ensure overall project success
