Job Title: Senior Environmental Project ManagerLocation: Boston,

with sustainable solutions.Job Summary:As a Senior Environmental
Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role, managing
complex environmental projects from start to finish. With a minimum
of 10 years of experience in the environmental industry, the ideal
candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical teams,
mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the successful execution of
projects. Your role will also involve cultivating strong client
relationships, supporting business development efforts, and driving
project profitability. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is
required for this position.Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and
completion of complex environmental projects, ensuring they are
delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with
environmental regulations.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight for site
assessments, remediation, environmental compliance, and
sustainability initiatives. Ensure projects meet high standards of
quality and regulatory compliance.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and manage junior staff, providing
guidance on technical and project management tasks. Support the
professional development of team members through training and
hands-on leadership.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of
contact for clients, providing regular updates, technical
expertise, and solutions to meet their needs. Foster strong,
long-term client relationships.
- Business Development: Support business development efforts by
identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and
participating in client presentations. Work to expand the firm's
presence in the environmental services market.
- Risk and Quality Management: Proactively identify potential
project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure that
projects adhere to quality control standards and regulatory
requirements.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project budgets,
schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are executed
efficiently and profitably.Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering,
Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the environmental
industry, with a focus on managing complex projects, site
assessments, remediation, and environmental compliance.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring junior staff and
managing project teams.
- Strong client-facing experience, with a demonstrated ability to
build and maintain relationships, manage expectations, and deliver
excellent customer service.
- Experience in business development, including proposal writing,
preparing cost estimates, and presenting to clients.
- Licensing/Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Additional certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP, or related) are a
plus.
- Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in environmental engineering,
remediation, site assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on team
development and growth.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and
stakeholders.
- Proven track record in business development and managing client
relationships.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to
manage multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines.
- Software/Tools: Proficiency with project management software
(e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar) and environmental
software/tools (e.g., GIS, CAD, environmental modeling tools).
