The site features inhaled powder spray drying, as well as multiple commercial-scale lines for capsule filling and blister packaging. On-site spray dryers include best-in-class GEA Niro SD1, SD4 and SD7, the latter being the largest CGMP unit of its kind for DPI in North America.Catalent Pharma Solutions is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician provides maintenance and technical support for service and repair of production and ancillary equipment at the Chelsea MA facility. - Support spray drying and downstream operations by providing quality, compliant and timely equipment service to prevent excessive down-time and ensure optimum equipment operation. The Maintenance Technician also provides technical assistance to operators.This is a full-time hourly position. • Provide support for validation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of all GMP equipment and systems;
• Diagnose and repair of all electronic, pneumatic and control system problems on GMP equipment;
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing/packaging equipment;
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on GMP and non-GMP equipment;
• Execute equipment-related work orders in support of Operations;
• Manage and order equipment spare parts inventory;
• Troubleshoot problems during equipment set-up/change-over;
• Assist in design and implementation of engineering controls;
• Assist process engineers as needed;
• All other duties as assignedThe Candidate
  • Vocational/trade school degree in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge and experience is required;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required, preferably in cGMP biopharmaceutical; -pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or other FDA regulated industry;
  • Basic to moderate computer skills - including but not limited to e-mail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, and preventative maintenance software;
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form;
  • Understanding of PLC systems;
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-40 pounds;Why you should join Catalent:
